Lesser Black-backed Gull White 5.T9 well on her way Home!

An excellent sighting today from Benjamin Griard of Lesser Black-backed Gull White 5.T9, which was ringed on 04/06/09 at Chouet landfill, Guernsey as part of a cannon netting operation run with Paul Roper and members of the North Thames Gull Group. This gull was then seen on 24/08/09 at Pembroke Bay, Guernsey (PKV) shortly before it moved south for the winter. On 16/12/09 it was reported from Pinto landfill, Madrid, Spain (Javier Marchamalo), and then on 02/01/10 at Colmenar Viejo landfill, Madrid (Delfin Gonzalez). Today  this gull was at Guidel-Plages, Morbihan, France.  It is very likely that this gull will be home in Guernsey within the next few days - so I will be keeping a close eye out for it!
