Still Cold in Guernsey

Only c 50 Great Black-backed Gulls at Chouet landfill (closed) - but one 2nd winter from Seine-Maritime Blue 47D (Gilles Le Guillou) (25th sighting in Guernsey since 05 February 2009) and one from Chausey Islands, Manche, France Green E.37 (1st sighting in Guernsey) (Seb Provost).  Also one ringed as a chick in Guernsey on 04/07/09.

Also GBBG Yellow 0J3 ringed as 2nd W male at Chouet landfill, Guernsey in April 2009 seen at Vazon Bay today.

Still cold in Guernsey, but no ice or snow today. Plenty of Northern Lapwings, Redwings and Fieldfares around, along with smaller numbers of Eurasian Golden Plovers.
