Lesser Black-backed Gulls continue to return to the Islands
apace with 50 colour ring observations on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the
Chouet area. Many of these birds had been reported over the winter in Iberia or
France. The complete absence this winter of large “white-winged” gulls
continues, but another adult Yellow-legged Gull was observed on Chouet Beach.
